We want to give you guys a perfect winter holiday…
Where you can eat great food… and a lot of it… breakfast, afternoon tea and an amazing 3 course meal, 6 nights of the week. Oh, and don’t forget the fondues…
Wash all of it down with complimentary wine…
And if you’re not too tired after skiing, (maybe a sauna, jacuzzi or on-site massage will perk you up!) we’ll show you around some of the great local nightlife…
And you’ll still be treated to those little extras – the extra touches provided by an owner run company who know exactly what makes a great ski holiday….
And all from only £335 per week…
Facilities and Layout
We cater for a maximum of twelve at a time in 'Le Mouflon' (Thirteen if someone wants to stay on the sofa bed in the lounge... at a discounted rate of course!)
Accommodation in Le Mouflon consists of two quad rooms with ensuite facilities, a large double room and a twin room with adult sized bunk beds. All rooms, with the exception of the twin, enjoy superb views over the Haute Tarentaise valley.
The dining room extends along the entire south of the chalet, with lots of room to enjoy our great meals and a few glasses of wine and has amazing views across the Tarentaise to La Plagne and beyond. After a great day on the slopes we have a sauna and jacuzzi bath in which to relax in !
Location
One of the reasons we chose La Rosiere, was its snow certainty, it's high and sunny but more importantly for winter sports it has one of the best snow records in the Alps.
La Rosiere is consistently rated as one of the top five French resorts for snow cover.
The 'Where to Ski and snowboard Guide' for 2006 lists La Rosiere as one of the most snow sure resorts in Europe: "The sunniest slopes in the Tarentaise, but also the snowiest; the link to La Thuile in Italy adds an extra dimension.
This modern resort sits at an elevated position at the end of the long Tarentaise valley which runs roughly SW-NE. Both the village and the ski area are open to the snowstorms from the West and South West that are funneled into the Tarentaise valley. La Rosiere receives the full energy of these snowstorms and gets more snow than, for example, nearby Val d’Isère at the same altitude".
Our chalet, Le Mouflon, is located within 5 minutes walk of La Rosiere centre with its lively shops, bars and restaurants and only 5 minutes from the slopes.
There is also the ski bus, which stops just outside and runs every 15 minutes throughout the day.
La Rosiere is easily reached from Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble or Chambery airports and we offer a free transfer service to and from Geneva on Sundays, our transfer day.
La Rosiere is situated at 1850 metres on a sunny plateau facing south. From there you can gaze across the valley to Tignes and the Grand Motte in one direction and to La Plagne and the face of the Bellecote in another. Whilst from the top of the fort chairlift you can see Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa and the Matterhorn in a single panorama. There are no other views like it anywhere in the Alps.
